Seals and sea lions undergo hearing tests in Australian research

In a groundbreaking study in Australia, researchers are conducting hearing tests on seals and sea lions to better understand their auditory capabilities. This research aims to assess how these marine mammals perceive sounds in their natural environment, which is crucial for their survival and communication. The tests involve exposing the animals to various sound frequencies to evaluate their responses. By gathering data on their hearing abilities, scientists hope to gain insights into the impact of environmental noise pollution on marine life. This study not only contributes to marine biology but also emphasizes the importance of preserving the natural habitats of these species, ensuring their well-being and conservation for future generations.
